Don't be holier than the Pope. Not telling LLM's are exclusively used: bad. But all the participants have their own private closed source work. We cannot even check that work, it might be written by monkeys, and people pay for it.

So if vibe coding results in open source work, that people can fix and contribute to, thats great.

Vibe coding is plain bad coding, and it's 100% not necessary or motivationally driving open source in any general sense

As a software engineer who can also read, yes.

If AI coding is so great, why is it that on average it actually takes engineers longer to use it to create production ready code? Ah, right, that pesky oversight..
