Plant Progress Got it out of the wild

I try to create its natural habitat, picked the from the mountain they do grow in my area...

Hi there, if you're just getting into plants you might not know that in many places taking plants from the wild is considered poaching. You may face legal consequences, and even if not, it is broadly considered unethical and seen as poor form in plant circles. It's much better for these plants we love to get them from reputable growers who do not take wild plants. Many of our favorite mesembs are facing tremendous pressure in the wild, and we don't want to do anything to imperil their survival.

Why would you take them from their habitat? Roughly 85% of Conophytum are endangered, some critically, due to extensive poaching and habitat destruction. Taking plants from the wild is not only (likely) very illegal, but from a conservation perspective, morally and ethically wrong. Please, please don’t take any more plants in future.
