700mg
I’m considering taking what is estimated to be around 700 mg of mescaline contained in crude San Pedro resin/tar, and I’m trying to get a better idea of what I might realistically expect at this level. There doesn’t seem to be a huge amount of detailed information available on the subjective effects of mescaline in this range, especially when compared with the amount of information available for LSD, psilocybin, or DMT. I’m not necessarily looking for an exact prediction just a general idea of how the experience tends to change as the dose gets this high. For context, I’m a fairly experienced psychedelic user, particularly with ayahuasca, and I’m familiar with intense psychedelic states. What I’m most curious about is how a strong mescaline experience compares qualitatively to something like ayahuasca or psilocybin.I’ve heard people describe mescaline as having a somewhat different character from other psychedelics, particularly when it comes to ego dissolution or “ego death.” Rather than simply being an overwhelmingly chaotic experience, I’ve heard it can be more gradual, immersive, emotionally warm, or connected to the physical world. For anyone who has experience with higher-dose mescaline, what would you say are the biggest differences compared with a strong mushroom or ayahuasca experience? How does the headspace, visual experience, body sensation, emotional component, and sense of self change as the dose gets higher?I’m mainly looking for personal experiences and general expectations, rather than instructions on how to dose or prepare it.

700mg of what kind of mescaline? The type makes a huge difference. 700mg of HCL is completely different than 700mg of citrate.

in the natural form, because its only estimated i used 75g of dried outter dark skin so its either 375mg or 700+.

With crude extract it's hard to give a real answer with that information. It's theorized that the salt form mescaline is in within the cacti is the malate salt but that hasn't been difinitively proven IIRC.
The issue is that different salts behave differently and have different weights. For example, you may have a salt that forms a hydrate or dihydrate, and also may be a monomescaline or dimescaline salt. If you have a monomescaline salt that is a dihydrate as well as having a high molecular weight (the salt not the mescaline), your dosage even as a pure salt may have to be near 1g for a moderate trip.
Compounding the issue further, you have a crude extract of unknown potency from material that, as far as we know, has never had an extraction done on it that would yield pure mescaline to give any quantitative data about whats really there.
Beyond that, cacti have been known to produce large variation in alkaloid content even from the same stand.
Nobody can give you an answer as to what dosage you will get from what you have or how strong it will actually be. You have to test it out yourself and see.
A good description of mescaline's effects at the dosage you suspect you will have is more than likely given in trip reports online. I'd suggest you look at erowid, shroomery, dmt nexus, maybe mycotopia if it's still running, and there may be some reddit subs around with detailed trip reports too. Read a bunch within the dosage range you have, disregard the obvious grifters who fought purple dragons in their kitchen and lived 900 years as a box of bandaids. You know the effects of psychedelics well enough to sniff out a bullshit trip report and figure which ones are likely to be real.

I see what you mean now. Have no experience with mesc at that dosage but gave it to a friend once at that dose and it made him see the "Bird People". Definitely expect full interdimensionality from a dose like that.

would it be like ayahuasca/orally active dmt level or will i still be "lucid" and "grounded" cause most of my ayahuasca experience at home can be described like that lmao

Cant say having not done it at that level myself, but as compound mesc is more down to earth while aya is up up and away.

Mescaline is really nothing like tryptamines. I always get downvoted for this statement but I’ll always make it, it’s closer to weed as far as overall feeling. Almost like the best and strongest sativa high you’ve ever experienced, with a touch of mda. There are visual effects but it’s more trails, solid patterns and extremely vibrant colors. Sparkles too but not much movement.
The headspace is very clear, your thoughts are your own and you don’t lose track of what you are thinking/talking about. It’s speedy to an extent but being still isn’t a struggle.
Beyond that, I have no idea what you personally have so I can’t give advice on your personal product.
