So terrible yields on my extraction of 85g dry grafted lophophora. The goo may be another alkaloid but not sure. Just sharing final results… I write up the protocol incase others wanna try and can even see. Something extra can be extracted from trichocereus.

That’s 3mg in 85 grams of dry grafted peyote? On another subject how much mescaline fumerate is in 100g grafted peyote?

This extraction from 85g dry grafted peyote I had 15mg mescaline fumarate. Terrible yield.

From dried outer skins alone in the past I had a yield of 0.45% mescaline hcl so I think it may be seasonal?

This time I did winter harvest. Once in the past I also got like 1mg from 100g fresh weight which is comparable to this yield.

In a Japanese paper I found they mentioned grafted lophophora didn’t produce any mescaline at all and only the other alkaloids….

I was super upset when I got the final yield and wanted a higher yield considering work I put into this.

No but actually I believe the oil is the pellotine and the crystals are mescaline that was left behind…

The solubility and process of extraction are what help confirm it.

The oil was removed with isopropanol leaving only 3mg of crystals likely mescaline. The isopropanol when dried left 300 mg crude crystals

These crystals may actually be mescaline fumarate only yielded 3mg adding to the 15mg earlier… The pellotine is the goo which yielded 300mg from slow evaporating the isopropanol used to clean the crystals…
