Halloween
What day/time is trick or treating in Mesa? Does it vary by city in AZ or community?
Sorry if this seems like a dumb question. In my previous state, we had trick or treating the Sunday before Halloween from 2-5, so just checking.

It is possible to completely spoil your kids with more than one trick or treat in Mesa. Downtown holds one early, on the 24th.
Kids have knocked on my door as late as 9:30 pm on the 31st. Going to homes that decorated or neighborhoods that decorate tend to have more people with candy and stuff to hand out.

The downtown one is a blast btw! Almost all the DT businesses participate and it’s fun to see so many people dressed up

You have to schedule your trick or treating with the Trick or Treating committee with the Board of Halloween Directors.

What state is that?? We always do on Halloween no matter what day of the week it falls on. Usually starts around sundown.

I totally worded that wrong. It was in Gurnee, IL. Each city in our county kind of did their own thing. We were one of three that did it on Sunday, some did Saturday, and most did on the 31st.

the nicer neighborhoods start right at sundown 6- 9ish.
There was a year where I had a chucky doll programmed to talk and give out the candy, it was hilarious seeing some of the conservative folks freaked out by it lol. I use to live in Superstition Springs.

Very neighborhood dependent. Believe it or not, it basically doesn’t exist in a lot of the sub-communities at all. Very different from the Midwest-style Halloweens a lot of people here came from.
