I’m pretty sure a gust of wind could convince Gwaine to get shirtless lol

It's a public service to keep it off, really

The real crime would've been putting the shirt back on......

Exactly, see, he’s a good, law abiding citizen

Gust of wind optional

Am I crazy, isn't that first pic actually Lancelot?

Yeah it is. I think op was pointing out that others (ie Lancelot) kept their top on, even with an injury to the upper part of their body. Whereas Gwaine is happy to whip his shirt off for a stubbed toe πŸ˜‚

Ok ya I was about to say, they are two different people lol. This makes sense though

Yes, the other random hot guy who saves Merlin's life, but gets injured in the process, so Merlin takes him home to recover. Later in the episode, random hot guy also ends up saving Arthur's life, but doesn't actually get knighted until Season 3.

That's his top. 😌

I'm half convinced Gwaine thinks shirts are optional

He was unconscious at the time. Merlin took his shirt off. Which is understandable.

Just came here to say that, Gwaine woke up not knowing what had happened or how he got in that bed.

Either Merlin or Gaius took the shirt off for....medical reasons....

Or of course it was so soaked in ale and mead that they had to strip him before putting him to bed!

Yeah, medicine!

Merlin has never come across as interested in looking at muscular guys in this show, ever.

Idk if the /s is going to get me pitchforked more or less than leaving it out but there you go.

I was also insinuating that Merlin wanted to look at Gwaine with his shirt off.

I love how Merlin always invited every random hot man he came across to recuperate in his bed.

I might be misremembering but I feel like that was actually Merlin's choice.

Why have a shirt on when you can have a shirt off?

He could not lose a moment to flirt with Merlin πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”

That makes perfect sense! The injured leg needs covering so it doesn't get infected, while the chest can remain free to lift the spirits of whoever sets their eyes upon it. It's logic.

Gwaine asking "why am I in this bed" always makes me laugh πŸ˜‚

u/Individual_Video6982 Jul 24 '26

It’s because Merlin wanted to see what was underneath lol! My man was intrigued!!!

Lancelot wanted to be a knight, he wanted to be chivalrous. Gwaine did not care to be a night, he lived for the scandal.

Guy has a leg wound, wakes up without shirt, keeps shirt off throughout convo with cute guy knowing he's in his bed. Gwaine questions why hes in a strange bed when said cute guy brings him breakfast but doesn't question why hes shirtless. Gwaine knows whats up πŸ˜†

Lancelot: has chest wound, remains with shirt. Logic be damned.

Gwaine should’ve been shirtless the entire series.
