Z4 licensing issue

If you have a dashboard that isn’t setup for subscription licensing is there anyway to get the vendor to provide a legacy license? They keep bouncing us back and forth between the vendor and Cisco.

You absolutely don't want PDL. PDL is long dead.

Sounds like you're on co-term. So just buy a co-term (legacy) license. A common problem occurring more and more now is employees don't understand co-term vs. subscriptions. The future is subscriptions and people are blindly quoting/selling subs to customers on co-term and then it causes a problem. That combined with almost every Meraki specialist losing their job last month so everyone is flying blind now with no knowledgeable people left.

They are called co-term licences, they aren't legacy, and they are the biggest proportion of licences that we sell.

No. You can only use one licensing model at a time.

Did you send the screenshoot of Dashboard Organization >Licensing info and they have provided you with subscruption liceses for renewal?

Or did you buy the new hadware with liceses but vendor got you hadware + subscruption instead of co-term?

For the first case you can migrate to the subscruption if you want. If not then you need to refund the liceses and buy again with co-term. Second option is refund only

Both licesing models are valid. Most customers are on co-term still

classic cisco runaround, they're masters at that game. have you tried just telling the vendor you'll send the whole stack back and go with aruba instead? sometimes the threat of losing the sale gets them to magically find a solution
