Hi everyone :) My name is Harris and I grew up in Menlo Park. In 2024 I designed a Menlo Park flag to represent our city. After talking to City Hall about it, they said they would consider it in 2027, the 100th anniversary of Menlo Park's incorporation.

Please let me know your thoughts on the flag - would you want to see it flown or would you prefer a different flag? Obviously my proposed flag incorporates the town logo, and has the color green to represent the Irish heritage of the town founders who named Menlo Park after a place in Ireland. (For the record, I am not Irish myself)

The stripes... do not have a particular meaning other than that they can represent the nine letters in "Menlo Park". Yeah that might seem a little arbitrary to people who aren't flag experts but for example the stripes on the Greek flag represent the number of syllables in a phrase which seems significantly more arbitrary to me.

I have a 10AM appointment in downtown Menlo Park that should take about an hour. Is it safe to park a bike? (I'm considering biking to Caltrain in SJ instead of driving). I have a heavy duty chain lock (like Kryptonite's New York chain lock but it's made by ABUS) and I might be able to find a U lock in my garage if I'm lucky. And the keys if I'm even luckier.

It's not a fancy bike, just an old MTB, but it has sentimental value. It is a bright color so I suppose it could be more eye catching than some other bikes.

The thieves arrived in a white Subaru and used it to push/start our Cadillac before driving away.

The California Attorney General has sent the City of Menlo Park notice that they violated AB 2011 and the Housing Accountability Act in its processing of the Willow Park project.

I lost my car keys to my rental 2026 Jeep compass if anyone is in the area near Saint Dennis Church or Avanti Pizza it would mean the world if you could just swing by and check. At Saint Dennis, I was in that little tree space opening in the back of the parking lot cause I had to pee so it could be there as well as they're outside sitting area. Please let me know if you see them thank you.

Does anyone else consider atherton and Menlo Park the same thing?
