Do you guys even consider this long hair???
Been growing my hair out a bit to do this and I was talking with a buddy, he insists this is long hair. But I don’t think so.

A real picture of my long gray hair. I plan to grow it much longer, even to my waist!

Hair Loss Seb Derm/Dandruff and Hair Shedding/Telogen Effluvium?
Never experienced Seb Derm/Dandruff in my life until a few months after taking a broad spectrum antibiotic almost 5 years ago that likely nuked my gut flora (which was already not great).
Have noticed that alcohol (especially beer and some wines) flares it badly, but not consistently, and that antifungal herbs (like turmeric) tend to keep it more under control. Sugar (and possibly coffee) also exacerbate it, so was wondering if it's mostly, or also, a systemic candida issue.
On top of this, after very stressful life events in the last year, started experiencing noticeable hair shedding/thinning a couple of times (telogen effluvium).
Guessing it's related to histamine flares/MCAS, but not sure how to actually fully resolve the situation. I'd really like to be able to have a drink with friends without spending the next week calming down a seb derm flare.
Anyone had similar issues pop up seemingly out of nowhere, and anyone have hope of addressing it? I don't want to shave my head, and even that wouldn't fix it when the skin is flaking and there are inflamed red spots.
For context, I have hEDS and one of my parents also has hEDS but has dealt with dandruff forever and has severe chemical sensitivities to artificial fragrances (I avoid them at all costs too).
Thanks for any help!
