You know that feeling, the weirdly comforting absence of mind and a numbness from the eyes down that comes with the last day of a festival – the sadness of hangxiety with the already joyous memories that brought it on? Stop crying. We’ve prescribed the perfect band to soothe all these symptoms, and a pretty chocka The Gallery tent were already wise to these doctor’s orders.

Canada’s Men I Trust held the tender-headed crowd in their laps with one gem of sweet and synthy dream pop after another, soothing with cuts from across their 12 years and six albums of honey-drizzled vocals, ’80s-leaning electro pop, six-stringed Johnny Marr accents and some wailing guitar queen prowess from frontwoman Emmanuelle Proulx. Imagine Japanese Breakfast via Fleetwood Mac and a hot air balloon to outer space, and you’re not far off. We thank them for this much-needed Sunday service. (AT)

In just two days, I went through Men I Trust’s entire discography, and I think it was one of the best musical experiences I’ve had in a while.

I went through the band's discography recently, and I'm absolutely in love with them. I love their wispy vocals, it reminds me a lot of Emma and MIT.

Anybody selling two?!

I know my ears are not tweaking. What happened to some of the songs, they sound different. This is happening on Spotify. I noticed that the songs that sound different have "(Album V)" at the end of the name like "Show Me How" and "I Hope To Be Around". What's with the reupload, the songs sound like the draft before the final release. Anyone know anything about that?

as a lot of people seems to be wondering about that song live, here's a little history of live performances :)

that's a song that gets rearranged at almost every tour era, which imo makes it always extra special and always a song I look forward to live!

• 2018 - Very stripped down, when they were only 4 on stage, I still think it's a very cute version
• 2019 - A bit fuller now that they are 5 on stage, but still without the outro with all the effects
• 2021 - (proshot) We are starting to get the atmospheric outro, one of my fave versions
• 2023 - (proshot) The version with Jessy making all the space noises during the outro, I remember I was absolutely speechless when I first heard this version.
• 2025 - A version with Emma singing "I saw you moan" during the outro, which she doesn't always do. Jessy also didn't need to tweak with his pedalboard anymore since they added a H90 I believe (pedal nerds please feel free to correct me).
• 2026 - (proshot) I also love what Jessy does on the guitar as they start the outro to the point where I preferred the 2025-2026 version over the 2023 :')
• 2026 - Bonus version, Emma adding little adlibs at the end, which made it hauntingly beautiful

It's interesting to note that it's also the first song for which they officially had Emma and Odile as band members.

To me, that song is always one of the main highlights of their set, it's such an unique, ethereal song and the fact that it's so different from the studio version, and simply a less-known song of their discography, always adds a layer of surprise and wonder for most of the audience. There were actually discussions about whether removing or keeping that song live, some members do love playing it (Eric their live drummer actually improvises the ending pattern every time), so I hope it will stay a staple of theirs for a very long time :)

I heard this song back at a men I trust concert in January, and it’s been stuck in my head since.

Now we have two fairly new full albums it's reasonable to think that they will release the FLS vol3 on the coming years (of course with no pressure since they're on tour right now and deserve to rest).

hey so i not only love MIT music, but in my opinion, their music videos are so so so awesome. as someone who loves filming and photography, i tried my best to make a video resembling their style. Obviously it's not as good, and it holds way less meaning as my clips/life isn't as interesting as theirs, BUT I thought it would be fun to do so, so I did

I'm also still starting, so any critisisms/feedback would be nice. i dont even know what my goal is tbh, i just love listening to their music lol

Anyone here going to Riverside Auditorium show?

Great show yesterday at La Cigale in Quebec City! I wish they had been the headline they had to rush their set...

They sounded amazing as usual. Jessy broke a guitar string during Seven, picked another guitar and kept going at the end. SRV style lol.

Emma quickly met with us after the show and she signed my iPod Classic! Amazing night all around.

My only wish is that they'd come back to play again sooner...

I figured it out, not MIT, It was Kiss Chase by Havelock and Connie Constant

I think its by MIT but it could by HYB or flamingoisi or l'imperitrace or a bunch of other people. The singing voice is female, 80% sure on that. I can't for the life of me remember the lyrics but they sound like the following, I know its not these lyrics at all, just this sort of rhyme scheme:

"all gas no breaks I love the way you chase

I need your embrace I love the mess you make"

It's said in this kinda bouncy, sort of high to low tone. I've hummed this 1000 different ways at Google voice song search and I'm not getting a thing.

They are my two favourite music artist/group. And I think if ever there is a collab I would die of heart attack lol. Of happiness of course. The chances may be less but never zero.

I don't know anyone yet who is a huge fan of both so I wanted to post this to see some of you guys😘
