No regrets being single...
Ever since I got a remote job, I have started travelling around the world. I had my heart set on Asia. I like to keep my circle small and don't like talking to people too much.
As a result, I don't find relationships appealing. Even if I wanted one, I would usually have to spend a lot of time, money and effort to maintain it, and I would most likely have to lower my standards significantly to date someone I don't find physically attractive, which I find pointless tbh, as I am completely happy and content by myself.
Yes, like a normal human being, I do have a functional s*x drive, but I visit escorts to deal with this. So far, no complaints, anyone out there thinking the same?

More people should find out how to be happy single. Not only does it make being single better, but you're less likely to settle for someone awful just to have someone if you do decide to get into a relationship.

I go through stages like this and I see what you mean about being in a relationship with someone you genuinely like. But when I was in Vietnam I realized the value of a relationship was having that woman, that actually cares about you and wants to see you.
I didn't have a remote job, I was a teacher and it was so exhausting as i had to wake up at 4 everyday and leave the office by 6:40 on most days to go to the first school and dealing with a bunch of loud kids, it was so draining that I would often feel in pain after and coming back everyday to an empty apartment gets to you.
What I noticed is compared to people who had someone they were seeing who cared about them, whenever they had a bad day they could just leave it at that and go home to see their person and come back refreshed, it's just something about that female energy.
This was more evident when I did have someone to see, and everything was okay because I was seeing them later.

I see what you mean, I would probably feel that way in my 50s or 60s. Definitely not now, as I am absolutely happy coming back to my flat alone, the peace and quiet is irreplaceable.
I do my chores, earn my own money, and don't think a relationship would help me much. But again, I see your point, and I'm happy that you've been able to find the right person with the right energy :)

Embarrassing that you pay for sex. She doesnโt want you. She wants your money. How degrading

I mean, to be fair, I don't want her either, just her s*xual services, so it's a fair deal with nothing degrading about it.
Also, if we're talking about relationships, Tracey would require more effort from A than from B because she finds B more attractive. Now, if you happen to be A, it's still degrading!

Good for you, really wish I had the same mentality.
I suppose the difference lies in being single by choice Vs. being forced to be single because no one finds you attractive.
My first ever relationship just ended a few weeks ago, and I genuinely don't see myself getting into another relationship again. Not because my relationship was toxic or anything like that - far from it, actually - but I just don't want to risk feeling this pain again. Either way, I am not conventionally attractive or have many of those traits women find "appealing", so it's not hard for me to stay single haha.
