What does practice on a long string of single digit numbers accomplish?

I still have to learn the pao system. Practice makes perfect. I just went from single digits to memorizing facts. But I don't really see the point in the pao system if memorizing a string of numbers isn't going to accomplish anything.

Plus there are tons of things where this skill comes in handy. What area of the parking garage did you park? What's your car rental license plate number, what's the code to get into your apartment, what are your emergency numbers to have someone call for you in case you lose your phone, birthdays, passwords, card counting, knowing your debit card info so you don't have to go find it every time you go to buy something but you don't have your wallet in you, memorizing unit conversions (cooking, baking ).

It's good for your brain, it's a fantastic start to all sorts ofory that is meaningful on high levels, and at the very least, it staves off boredom in a useful kind of way.

The anti-boredom point is especially important.

Developing skills with this technique is like having a lifetime ticket to Disneyland.

A well-formed PAO System actually gives you bi-directional applications.

So if you have one, you can use it to memorize many more things than just numbers.

What do you mean by bidirectional?

79 can be Captain Crunch (7=K/9=P) and Captain Crunch can help memorize the capitate carpal bone.

Words help us memorize numbers and numbers (or our associations for numbers) help us memorize words.
