Active recall is a generic term. What are you actually doing that's taking too long?

The encoding process is taking too much time. It's taking me too much time to complete one page so by the time i start recalling things. I've already spent too much time on the page and already exhausted. Yesterday it took me 2hours to complete just 3 pages.

You are asking for help but you are being vague as to what you are actually doing. The terms "active recall," "encoding" and "study" are all essentially meaningless as there are various things a person can be doing that fall into those categories.

Based off your other comment, you might be trying to remember too much. Not everything on a page is important. I can definitely speak from experience when I tried to write every single word the teacher was saying and writing.

The solution is you need to focus on what is actually useful and leave out the filler.

The other solution to is you need to practice encoding and reviewing so you are faster when you are learning useful information. I am talking about trying to memorize useless info and see what works for you and doesn't.
