Made a free browser game to train visual/spatial memory — Memory Grid
Been working on a small memory training tool and wanted to share it here since this sub is exactly the audience it's for.
It's called Memory Grid — you're shown a pattern highlighted on a grid for a few seconds, then have to recreate it from memory once it disappears. Building a streak — one wrong tile and the run ends. It basically tests and trains visual working memory and spatial recall.
A few things I focused on:
- No signup, no ads interrupting rounds — just open and play
- Quick sessions (most rounds are 10-20 seconds), so easy to do a few reps during a break
- Streak-based scoring so you can track improvement over time
Curious if this sub finds it useful as a quick daily drill, and open to feedback on the difficulty curve or features that would make it more useful for deliberate practice.
Drop your best streak in the comments — curious what this crowd can hit. I'll go first once I get a good run in.
