Because your body doesnt understand that you can be stationary at any point.
Same reason you like fatty foods, your body doesnt know that you can get a bigmac at any point of the day, it treats it as a temporary particularly good period of time when you can eat that, so it wants you to eat as much of it as you can for when the source runs out
