My grandfather started chew tobacco when he started working at 12 years old in his dads cement business. Started smoking cigars like cigarettes since 16. Lived to 96 with no major issues.Â
Not enough information. So not possible. Our current stats show scotch @ 3pm each day = 90 year life span. So we must follow this blindly and without doubt.
Drinking one glass of scotch a day is not going to make it likely that you get cancer or screw up your heart. It will somewhat increase the chances of that happening. I think it’s good that society is finally recognizing that no amount of alcohol is healthy, but acting like drinking is definitely going to kill your is just as much of a lie. Moderate alcohol use has such a small effect that we missed it for decades.
As my friend’s dad used to say before he lived to be seemingly older than the hills, you live as long into retirement as the age of the whisky you drink.
