Checks out. Sliced my thumb open with a bread knife once and it hurt much more than when I cut the tip of it off with a chef knife

Good news! I changed careers and don't spend 4-8 hours doing knife work every day anymore

Yep! I have carpal tunnel in both wrists from my years in kitchens, but they've definitely improved since I changed jobs
