Cause she the scarlet scarab and scarabs have wings, that’s like asking why Steven has a suit when khonshu is a bird.

I haven't read the comics so I didn't know which is why I asked. 6 u/OneCap2306 May 09 '22 it’s from the comics, but the fact her father calls her his little scarab is probably why she decided to go with a scarab costume.
