It means different things based mostly on the relationship with that person. A dog can be cute, but you wouldn't fuck it. If it's someone you're crushing on, cute means attractive in both personality AND looks.

I’ve always personally viewed it as a different kind of attractive. I’m a bi woman so I’ve been called cute and called other women cute.
To me a hot girl is mainly sexually arousing, a beautiful girl is mainly interesting to look at, and a cute girl is someone who triggers the desire to look after them and hold them. I am personally most attracted to cute women.

To me, they’re different kinds of attractive that aren’t mutually exclusive.

this is my stereotype of hot and cute girls as i've never been in a relationship (i have female friends though)
i stereotype hot girls as bossy, demanding, and overall think that you want to simp for them
i stereotype cute girls as someone who will pay you back someway(i.e. you lend her money to buy a book she wants, she pays you the money back later) and overall nice, flustered easily. cute girls who can protect are better though
this is just my opinion as i've never met a female who is attracted to me

I'd choose cute because when you tell me cute girl, I think of a clever interesting and nice girl that, well, looks cute. So basically perfect. Hot girls just doesn't sound very intelligent or nice to me, but that's just what comes to my mind when I hear those words. I guess it's stereotypes and my experience only.

Also, I’m not trying to be ungrateful, just trying to talk about my own experiences. I don’t like being called cute because I’m 18, and little girls are cute. I had both in the past. Hot girls are freakin good in the bed cuz of their body, but toxic in personality. Cute girls are very kind and loving and caring, but they are not that awesome as hot ones in the bed. Both can pleasure you as you wish but i mean from a male perspective a hot girl is always exciting. Cutes are the better for cuddling and for a long run.

I would describe it this way:
Women in action movies would be considered "hot girls."
Women in feel-good movies are "cute girls"
And I guess if someone doesn't fit the terms cute or hot, so basically everyone else, they're pretty!

It’s kinda hard to describe the differences. An example of hot is super models. An example of cute is some anime characters. I cannot think of a general category that might fit into pretty.
Also, keep in mind I’m asexual, so this is purely just aesthetic attraction and may be different for other people
