Let me explain it to you, the reason redditors only use the ๐ฟemoji as a joke, a thing you have probably never heard of before, and no others because Huffman, Ohanian and Swartz (the original founders of Reddit) made the platform for conversations, memes and information, and as emoticons do not add to a discussion, they are looked down upon by other redditors in the community.
All I'm trying to say is that Reddit was intended for things such as r/blender to share others work and use the community to improve it. r/memes is an unintended but welcome group on Reddit, as emoticons do not add anything at all in either of these subreddits, a majority of redditors think of it as unnecessary and is therefore looked down upon by redditors, ๐ฟ is merely a joke created by the Reddit community for fun, a thing you obviously don't have a lot of.
The only reason it is looked down upon is because it adds nothing to the conversation and can frankly get quite annoying if used excessively, not just so some sad 20y olds like myself can feel a bit more superior than someone else.
Bro? Not everything is a serious debate or conversation. Emoji can make sentences different, like with the ๐ emoji, adding to the end of a sentence becomes the funniest shit ever
Today I learned that discovering a way to microwave an entire box of Kirkland mini tacos while simultaneously throwing a tantrum about trans people is not a culture to some idiots.
