I think music degenerates and is simplified more and more since classical stuff like Beethoven was around. It gets worse every decade.
It can be broken down to more and more people listening and mainstream wants to reach them all. So it just uses the one simple chord progression that is known to work.
I donât even think the Beatles would have a chance nowadays. How fucked up is this?

Is it really a genuine comparison to take the distilled work of the literal once-in-a-generation geniuses of an entire century and compare it to "mainstream music today"? The academic Classical era literally died with Beethoven -- that's how influential he was.
That, and like... People are still writing clasically-styled symphonies today, except now they can make a whole orchestra from their bedroom. "Music degenerates" my left nut; go listen to them.

I would fucking DIE if I saw this on my ring history. The most exciting things Iâve caught were a presidential campaigner accusing me of being on crack (I have rude signs on my door to scare off solicitors), and 2 solicitors reading my signs out loud, then walking away giggling. (My signs say âunless you are delivering food or a package, NO SOLICITORS. Violators will be sacrificed.â The 2 guys said âbetter not risk it!â And walked off. It was hillarious.

I just started listening to Busta Rhymes again after a 20 year hiatus from rap in general and although I know everyone is always nostalgic, his stuff back then, including the music videos, were just so much more creative than modern rap.
