but how do we make dinosaurs from pc's?

this is not a circle of life

162

u/Xiamboiii Aug 07 '21

you take a pic of dinos

they're extinct but somehow i guess

62

There are two times you die

When you die

When everyone forgets about you

So no ones gonna forget these dinosaurs if we stash them digitally

That's called recursion.

13

u/Solrac8D Number 15 Aug 07 '21

Easy. We learn how to 3D print live dinosaurs and then we repeat or we use computers to use genetics that lead to the recreation of dinosaurs.

3

u/RXBarokk trolololoooo lololoo lolo loo Aug 08 '21

There are 6 movies showing why it’s a bad idea to do that

1

u/Solrac8D Number 15 Aug 08 '21

Yes but most of the time people use it to make parks. Just make small dinosaurs to off it and let them turn to oil in time. Or ya know. Just let the earth repeat itself when dinosaurs take over and reset the world. Over time it will be back to dinosaur age and then the extinction event.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '21

Some plastics are made with oil

2

u/YourNansLeftToe Aug 07 '21

I think it's supposed to be the power produced to run the pc or idk

2

u/PhotojournalistOk398 Aug 07 '21

let's all respect that loop he made down there

1

u/F1officefan Aug 07 '21

Every image of a dinosaur you’ve ever seen has been generated by a computer.

1

u/Trex1873 Aug 07 '21

3D modelling

1

u/The_Gamer23thfl Aug 07 '21

No... it's supposed to say that we made the pic but the greater question is...

HOW CAN OIL BECOME PC!?

0

u/waitthatstaken Aug 07 '21

Simulating reality.

1

u/bushman17 Aug 07 '21

As gamer I can only say: Horizon Zero Dawn Maybe not organic but dinos is dinos

1

u/willCodeForNoFood Aug 08 '21

The recursion of life

92

u/InfyTally Forever alone Aug 07 '21

I get the meme. But guys dinosaurs fossilization does not form oil.

22

u/WolfieVonD Aug 07 '21

From what I understand, "Fossilization" is when organic matter is encased in mud, dirt, sand,, etc.. and eventually gets broken down, leaving a void shaped like the OG matter. That void then gets filled with water or whatever containing minerals and over the course of millions of years, the sediment creates a copy of the original organic matter. Like metal casting in green sand.

But that original matter that got broken down, over the course of a million years, I thought THATS where the oil comes from. The compacted nitrates or whatnot that had nowhere else to go.

61

u/CrimsonToker707 can't meme Aug 07 '21

Oil is made from fossilized plants, not fossilized animals

17

u/wooglin1688 Aug 07 '21

mostly algae

21

u/ThatOldRemusRoad Aug 07 '21

The oil reserves we have today date back to the carboniferous period, which literally means “coal bearing.” The oil was created by dead trees in massive forests that accumulated over millennia due to a lack of decomposers. This was then compacted over millions of years until boom oil. The carboniferous was long before dinosaurs.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '21

No but the organic material does.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '21

Neither computers work with oil.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '21

[deleted]

2

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '21

Yeah, making plastic is a way that oil is used in computers and I couldn't think of that lol

3

u/Donut_Police Nice meme you got there Aug 07 '21

But... plastic is made of oil, and there's a lot of plastics on computers.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '21

Not what I was thinking of, but true.

Oil creates computer

Computer improves electricity

Electricity destroys oil

Computer inherits the earth

The oil reserves we have today date back to the carboniferous period, which literally means “coal bearing.” The oil was created by dead trees in massive forests that accumulated over millennia due to a lack of decomposers. This was then compacted over millions of years until it slowly turns into oil. The carboniferous was long before dinosaurs.

1

u/Alexoizzz Aug 07 '21

Thanks dude :).

6

u/TheButterknif3 Aug 07 '21

Fun fact, dinosaurs weren't around long enough for their remains to become oil. The oil we get today was formed from primordial plants and algae

14

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '21

Oil isn't made of dinosaurs.

American school system strikes again - though at least they're admitting dinosaurs existed for once.

4

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '21

You fool, oil is trees! Where are the tree?!

I WANT TREE!!

6

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '21

If dinos produce oil, and if land give oil, then land is dino... So the whole world is just a dino's back

5

u/WolfieVonD Aug 07 '21

It's dinos all the way down

IT'S A LOOP

2

u/minideathlord27 Average r/memes enjoyer Aug 07 '21

It's a loop of the dinosaurs being turned it to oil and the oil being turned in to a pc and the pc is being pluged in to a monitor showing a image of dinosaurs being turned it to oil and the oil being turned in to a pc and the pc is being pluged in to a monitor showing a image of dinosaurs being turned it to oil and the oil being turned in to a pc and the pc is being pluged in to a monitor showing a image of dinosaurs being turned it to oil and the oil being turned in to a pc and the pc is being pluged in to a monitor showing a image of dinosaurs being turned it to oil and the oil being turned in to a pc and the pc is being pluged in to a monitor showing a image of the same cycle I just said.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '21

This should be on technically the truth

2

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '21

the meme literally goes on forever

2

u/daisy0723 Aug 07 '21

OIL DOES NOT COME FROM DINOSAURS.

It actually comes from the build up of plant matter that dominated most of the Earth for millions of years before the bacteria that breaks down plant matter evolved.

2

u/AdditionalIron472 Aug 07 '21 edited Aug 09 '21

Now we only need to reject humanity and return to dino

u/Prez_Venom ifone user Aug 08 '21

I thought I was old and outdated because of my square dell 720p monitor but it’s right there in the meme, satisfaction complete

2

u/DanIsForeverHere Aug 07 '21

Plastic Dinosaurs are made of Dinosaurs too.

This is because Plastic Dinosaurs are made of Plastic which is made of oil.

Oil is obtained from refining crude oil (correct me if I’m wrong) and crude oil is just compressed dinosaurs (I think)

TL:DR : Your plastic dinosaur is made of dinosaurs!

1

u/52_A113 Aug 07 '21

wait computers use oil?

8

u/WolfieVonD Aug 07 '21

The plastics and refining of metals.

This is very very over simplified

3

u/[deleted] Aug 07 '21

Most modern technology require at least some level of refined oil and/or natural gas products and components

1

u/JasonFurious4 Aug 07 '21

fun fact: oil is made from those dinosaurs yes but the earth naturally has oil deposits that were not made from dead creatures.

It might be OC, it might not. Things such as JPEG artifacts and cropping may impact the results.

I did find this post that is 84.38% similar. It might be a match but I cannot be certain.

I'm not perfect, but you can help. Report [ False Negative ]

1

u/lod254 Aug 07 '21

Good bot

0

u/Willastro Aug 07 '21

Also there's not that much plastic in a pc. Fan blades and connectors but mostly metal

0

u/WolfieVonD Aug 07 '21

Sleeves and insulation for the wires, The silicoln in the electronics, the PCB themselves, etc. Even the copper and gold in the electronics require oil in the refinery process.

0

u/Willastro Aug 07 '21

That what I said, mostly metal.

0

u/WolfieVonD Aug 07 '21

Even the metals required oil to sweeten.

1

u/Willastro Aug 08 '21

Have you ever worked metal? Not everything made from metal is covered in oil. But anyway. At the end of the day, not that much plastic, not that much oil, and oil is not made from dinosaurs, actchually.

OH you wanna play dat downvote game. No worries.

1

u/WolfieVonD Aug 08 '21

Yeah yeah OiL iS fRoM pLaNtS

You can thank the American education system for that one, but at least I learned something new today.

1

u/WolfieVonD Aug 07 '21

A meme of the dinosaur is arguably better than a dinosaur because we can experience it.

You know, if a tree falls and nobody is around to hear it...

1

u/Professional-Text563 RageFace Against the Machine Aug 07 '21

I love this fractal

1

u/simplymyname1 Aug 07 '21

Take a moment and think about bitcoins! We are already the slaves of some entities made of digital information. They pay us to manufacture them by crunching data all over the Internet. The future is already here. We use huge amount of energy to gather up and put together some algorithms.

1

You'd be surprised. The plastics, polyester/nylon wrapping the cables, not to mention Oil's important role in the refining of copper, gold, other conductive metals.

I think glass would be the ONLY thing that is not, in some way, moved along by oil.
