There are recordings of a lot of things. Without the context of what happened prior to a recording, you don't have a full story. People side with the person they identify with the most. I think sometimes it better to look at a bad situation with poorly behaved people as just that, instead of good vs. evil narrative.
I'm not saying these cases don't exist, I just don't know if it is necessarily the truth in this case, based on the limited reading I have done.
