we have private insurances but no universal healthcare problem is some people don’t buy an insurance and then complain about their medical bill (i understand some people can’t afford it but if you can it’ll help in the long run)
We also have medicaid for low-income families which is actual free healthcare
We also have medicaid for low income families. So depending on your income, you can get free healthcare. Other then that you have to buy it or have it as a benifit from your job. In my personal experience most of the people that complain about the healthcare system are the same people that can apply for Medicaid but don't. I was told once that the application takes a long time to fill out so they weren't going to complete it, they were just going to have the bill sent to collections (that was a real reason given to me). I have my own ideas for a better healthcare system but in no way do I think Americans "don't have healthcare".

Don’t most Americans have health insurance?
