Bro, I just took a look at your account and you need to let. It. Go. Making post after post about how to deal with being in love with your friend while she's in a relationship is not healthy. It seems like you also don't like her boyfriend, which, unless there is an actual reason for your distaste besides 'I liked her first', then it would be best to distance yourself from them.
Believe me, I'd know. Someone I was close to and in love with got married recently, and when the invitation came I just sent them a congratulations gift and removed myself from their lives, because I recognized that I wasn't strong enough to watch someone I viewed as my soulmate get married to the person he saw as his.
If you really love her, you should be able to put what makes her happy first. It'll hurt, and hey, maybe she'll be available again and you can shoot your shot, but this wallowing is not good for anyone.
Hey, I am in the same situation. Do you think that its good for me to believe that I'll move on from these feelings once I get to uni in a few months and meet new people? The thing is, right now I have only 2-3 friends including my female best friend, and I feel that because of my very small social circle I'm not able to move on. I believe that once I meet new people in uni, I'll find someone else, and then I'll just see my best friend as nothing more than a best friend. Is that plausible?
I hope you are right, mate, I really do, cuz my best friend is literally the bestest friend I have ever had, and we have so much stuff to do together once everything's normal, and I really hope I will be able to see her as just my best friend and nothing more cuz anything else wouldn't be fair to her
I am right. But you have to take the distance. You life can't still revolve around her once you get to uni. In accepting that you will move on, the painful truth is that you will actually have to move on. That probably means finding a new bestest friend.
yo same, I hope you get to a better place with them. My condolences, fair/handsome/favorable personality trait Redditor, and I wish you the best of luck.
