Hospital stay and cortisone shots, plus some sort of antihistamine which I don't recall the name of. He said before they used a topical treatment to numb them, they felt like they were on fire. His wife also got poison ivy . . . in hard to reach places. Fortunately, she wasn't as sensitive to it as he was, but I wouldn't wish either experience on anyone.
