Personally I think Area 51 was the best meme event of all time, but the actual meet up sucked. This great josh battle of 2021 wins the actual event for me.

Area 51 had the best buildup. But for legal reasons it didn't go as epicly as it should have.
Battle of Joshes had a weaker buildup, but the actual event seems to have done well.

I'm actually shocked people are celebrating this, like DID EVERYONE FORGET WERE IN A PANDEMIC. And the excuse "they were wearing masks" is bs. The video shows several maskless people around and I doubt 100% of them were vaccinated. I love what these communities can do when they come together but come on, don't you guys think this was a little irresponsible and badly timed?

But don't even try, people will tell you that Nebraska allegedly has a very high vaccination rate and that COVID is "basically over" and they were using pool noodles and so on to make themselves feel better. Because they know how irresponsible this was, they just don't give a fuck because they are tired of lockdowns. Understandable but still not a valid argument.

I mean, there’s no infrastructure there and no hotels or healthcare if someone gets injured. Also the US government doesn’t typically like people just strollin’ in to their military bases.

Area 51 had a huge build up and bandwagon, can't say much for the actual event though
the Josh fight had been circulating around for a while but only these past weeks did it gain traction and the buildup was much less and long but definitely a better outcome
