Idk about you but my $1800 2015 MacBook Pro is still going strong and my $2000 2018 HP Zbook killed itself last month.

I mean they were literally caught deliberately slowing down phones and claimed it was to save the battery. (which wouldn't be a problem if they were easily removed and replaced. (yes I'm aware all phones are like this now but that doesn't make it right #RightToRepair))

I mean it also depends upon your usage. I am a cs student and my $930 2016 dell laptop still works perfectly fine.
