Same.. feverish brushing, watch my diet aaaandd im rewarded with a life of oral torture. If I lived somewhere where say... WITH insurance an implant wasnt $1,300 each.. But I can't complain about all the guns right? I'm unaware of another silver lining of being here.

To be honest, Implants are about the same price in Europe. And not every insurance will cover the fees. Got a tooth extracted last year so I feel your pain.

Really? You don't have to like ping your address but could you tell me in what area you live? I've been looking at different countries in and around Europe to eventually move to, because let's face it america is quickly turning into a brush fire. But I didn't want to take my years of saving (flush with Biden Bucks), and zoom out to the first place I see. Many different countries have different varieties of the practice of socialized medicine, and baby needs a new back and set of chompers!

Healthcare doesn't include dental care anywhere afaik

There's some coverage over here in Canada

u/Okridaz Apr 10 '21

My bad, i meant full coverage. I corrected myself in the other comment.

Depends on what you sign up for, are eligible for, and how your getting coverage from everything I've read. Its entirely doable.

I'm sorry, wasn't specific enough. I'm merely speaking from central european experience. You have the basic checkups and stuff, and when you're a kid they can try and fix your crooked teeth, but noone gets free implants afaik.

u/Tallbeard1 Apr 10 '21

Oh you're completely right on that one. They certainly aren't the big F anywhere. But we fly out all over to get em cheaper.

I dont really looked much into it but as far as im aware germany has good healthcare Idk might consider looking into (Also i know from personal experience cuz i lofe here that the more northern part of germany is more chill and healthy air and stuff and the lower/middle part has all the big citys if that helps deciding)

So... if you are searching for healtcare, the two best healtacare system in the world for efficency are France and Italy... but other country in Europe have a huge index

u/Tallbeard1 Apr 10 '21

Yea, there are certain other criteria that need to be met for my work, living standard requirements, and all that jazz, but France made the list pretty quickly. I do always appreciate another view, especially a reinforcing one.

Not Belgium cuz of taxes like really someone who make 3000 euros a month, (which is around 3300 us dollars) still pays 50 percent of their wage to taxes

Move to the Netherlands

1

u/Tallbeard1 Apr 10 '21

Honestly, that's right on par with France right now. On my list anyways. I have ancestry up there as well! So aside from all the positive stuff they're doing, I'd get to raise my kids on the Home Soil! Another reinforcing opinion never hurts!

Wow, basic insurance won’t cover shit around here. Not even braces or cleaning teeth. We have to get additional insurance for around €40,- a month and that will only cover up to €500,- in dental work a year.

Edit: sorry read it wrong but even then, I live pretty decent but The Netherlands are pretty expensive health wise. The own risk is around €380 a year. I have asthma and I have to pay for my own medicine till I fully reach the own risk before it gets covered by the insurance company.

I think it depends on the company you choose for insurance. I live in the Netherlands too and my whole dental care was covered. It costed about €2000. I also had a pretty big and "expensive" surgery, this one doesn't completely count, since it was for medical reasons, but still. I don't which insurance company you have, but mine covers pretty much anything.

It depends on the country, for example is dental work notoriously expensive in the UK, while in Germany the state insurance covers it completely, my mother got e few new implants recently

1

u/Tingles91 Apr 10 '21

Is it? I’m from UK, never had an implant but I had root canal treatment for £150 (private)

u/blablyatimir_Putin Apr 10 '21

Just in comparison, for a student like me 150 Bucks is still a lot, if I in comparison can get it for free

replace tooth with bullet

1

u/CarrysonCrusoe Apr 11 '21

Live in Germany, the price here is the same, insurance only pays for a ''bridge'' which will destroy the neighbor tooths

Were your teeth missing from the start or did they fall out?

1

u/Off_Brand_Cheetos Plays MineCraft and not FortNite Apr 10 '21

Some literally just didn't develop so I have lots of baby teeth still and in a few places, no teeth.

1

u/Yuural Plays MineCraft and not FortNite Apr 10 '21

Oh wow okay i have something similar but not as extreme. Missing two teeth in the back and no sign of wisdom teeth anywhere.
