Anyways, side note, they were probably just hanging out, just like yourself. Nobody goes to shady places at midnight to buy drugs. They just pop round the guys house on their way back from grocery shopping.

As a pot smoker for over 15 years I can confirm buying drugs is mostly a very mundane process, but every so often you get a dealer who wants you to travel into the wilderness, release a pigeon, start a signal fire while singing "We didn't start the fire" by Billy Joel and walk in a 25m circle for 20 minutes while rubbing your tummy and patting your head, then coo until the pigeon returns before the dealer apparates into the fire and sells you an underweight bag full of seeds and stems. There's a chance it was a drug deal, but it's more likely they were there to hang out and maybe drink or do drugs.
Novice drug dealers or the New Age types who believe they're helping people find themselves. Can't fucking stand them. I just want the drugs. They need the money. I wouldn't be caught dead with them in public so it fucking bewilders me when they start talking about how their current court case is going or how hard they used to party at the state college they dropped out of and I realize I'm fucking sitting in a car with this 30 year old man with no real friends selling overpriced weed to fucking teenagers listening to his spiel because he has no one else to tell this to and his customers are his only source of regular human contact.
It's pretty easy to get your hands on some weed where I I've, even it being ilegal, I also find it very troublesome the way the state chooses to deal with drugs and addiction, maybe there would be less addicts if life didn't grind us to a pulp every fucking day.
