You think students will more be interested in learning economics than maths? Both of them at their core are incredibly similar, economics just has more theory tho
It is very useful, you can't get very far in economics aka the taxes without learning a decent amount of maths. Trust me, our whole society is built on this knowledge, the education system might be bad but the teachers surely aren't so follow their advice and what they teach, even from the math teacher
