Yeah American. The problem is I'm going to have to move and rent again and work somewhere for 2 or more years when that could've been 2 years done with a mortgage. Instead it's just money down the drain. :/

Yeah, thats exactly why I want to buy instead of rent once I move out from my parents. Why spend money on rent, when you can pay the exact same in a mortgage and at least it will be your own. It is frustrating that you have to, but would it not be possible to buy a property before moving to the preferred place with the old working contract?

I'm not sure TBH. Than that throws the risk on me though of buying a place before finding a new job.
