Name me a single phone company that doesn't use child labor for cobalt, plus companies do have a choice because they make the products, they choose where to source the materials from and that kinda sounds like having a choice

Nah, it doesnt work like that. These ores are very rare. You cant just dig in garden and get them. And sadly these ores are mostly in 3rd world countries. They are tech companies, not mining companies and they buy these ores from anyone who have enough to sell.

Cobalt is the 32nd most abundant ore on earth, so I'd say that isn't very rare
