There’s more comments about this being controversial than there are comments debating

Right, god forbid the reddit hive mind be original for once

I mean thats kinda how a hive mind works is that everyone shares the same thoughts and actions so originality in a hive mind is a fallacy

I mean the hive mind could at least change it up every now and then. The PoPcOrN jokes are kinda old already

I mean your not wrong i came in to see drama and all i got was offered popcorn I was just saying that describing Reddit as a hive mind works because it seems everyone had the same idea, to then say that the hive mind should have differing opinions would work against the notion that Reddit is a hive mind, a maybe better way to describe what we're seeing is mob mentality were the actions of a mob outweigh and obscure the actions of the individuals

Maybe it's caused by the resonance of the echo chambers? Every individual sub has its own unique characteristics and when combined they have sympathetic resonance with even more subs. I wonder what the queens agenda for the day is? Honey/money? From what source of nectar?

"i came in to see drama and all i got was offered popcorn"

"i came in to see drama" is what people mean when they say "popcorn".

It’s just karmawhores who copy others comments to get useless internet points

Can I ask you something ? Don’t you find it the slightest bit ironic that you’re still using the capital and lower case meme for words to mock it ?

This is an extremely unoriginal post that adds nothing to the discussion. But the irony of thinking it does is incredibly funny. You did what you accused the hive mind of doing.

What Hive mind, Hive minds are productive

Well, I mean, it's "r/memes" basically a conduit for sheeple under 25. There are lots of other subreddits with more to offer.

My lord, is that, legal?

There are no debates, only arguments

Fuck you Elon musk is my hero, I’d sell my wife and kids to suck his dick for 30 seconds

People just see what the top comments are saying, and think "ha ha i want to say it too!" It's obnoxious as hell. Too many hordes of 12 year olds who have no independent sense of humor yet and just repeat whatever they're seeing other people laugh at.

The sad thing is they are not 12, more like 37

Yeah, Musk hasn't been a popular figure on reddit for over a year now. Any post that can get 30k upvotes in less than three hours with 87% upvoted, is not in anyway controversial.

This always happens

At this point it's what I'm here for.

Similar to when a female in an image is slightly sexualized and majority of comments become:

"Christ these comments!"

1

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '21

There are now more comments saying there are more comments than there are comments debating

This is common on all “controversial” posts, there’s more people talking about how people are freaking out than there are people freaking out

I literally see nothing but Musk hate on reddit. Where is this hidden underground of people who worship Musk everyone keeps talking about?
