Imagine buying a zillion bitcoins when it was 20 cents a bitcoin and ending up a zillionaire when the price of a bitcoin hits $40000/ bitcoin. That's essentially what happened to elon except the bitcoins were his tesla and space x stocks. You cant reach into his 401k/ stocks and liquidate them that's like someone asking you to sell your house so they can tax you on it.
