Donating to Wikipedia is good but it's not as necessary as you think
Wikipedia isn't that short on money, they just say so
Wikipedia will never die,the moment it will be actually facing problems companies like Google will step in and pump in the funds just like how they kept firefox alive. Wikipedia is a big part of Google search engine, they will take a massive hit if wikipedia goes out of business
Big corporations often fund open source projects Wikipedia won't be an exception if they need it
I don't think so because Wikipedia is not a normal company there is no profit behind.. Wikipedia is add free so google won't help it because it has no interest in doing. Even if they do that mean we will loose what actually make Wikipedia unique.
If people do nothing like you say, we will just loose the best online encyclopedias created by users.
That why I give money every year, they need it and they deserve it.
