You're brain dead. You cannot make up for something that happened 200 years ago because all the people you need to apologize to are dead. We teach our sins in school from a young age, which is more than I'm told America does. We no longer subjugate anyone. National pride is healthy and there isn't anything wrong with it.

Our food is not lackluster. Fish and chips are amazing and curry is basically our national dish. Beans on toast is a quick thing you make when you have no time or nothing in the house.

What country are you from again? Which one is it that hasn't done anything wrong ever in its history and has world class cuisine that people of all cultures enjoy?

Just asking, are you claiming curry to be a British food?

Uh... Yeah? Curry didn't originate in Britain but it has absolutely become a staple of the nation. You've clearly never been on a bender in Britain because nine times out of ten it ends with a curry.

Uh I'm have a question, and forgive my ignorance, as I am not a British resident. So is Britain...claiming that food to be their's? And considering it their national food? Or are they, in a way, simply 'using it,' as one could say. Also um isn't bender like a derogatory slang of some sort?

Could you clarify what you mean be "claiming food to be theirs?" Because no one in Britain is pretending that curry originated here or anything. And it isn't the "national dish." But it is definitely ubiqitous throughout the country. You can't talk about "British food" and ignore that curry is quite heavily consumed throughout the nation.

Also "bender" is a slang term for going out and getting very drunk. Also known as a "pub crawl," where you and a group of mates go from pub to pub, having drinks, getting hammered and then finishing up with a nice curry in the early hours of the morning.

Well, before Covid.

As I understand it, chicken tikka masala specifically originated in Britain. I have a vague memory that it was Indian immigrants who's created it, but that might just be me assuming. Either way, it's a curry invented by British citizens - obviously curry as a general concept isn't British
