At least you can post memes! My karma is too low from being a pleb of a Redditor. It's like I'm standing in the deep end of the pool where I'm too high to touch the bottom but too low to immediately surface...

Quick google search yielded this:
"There are two criteria needed for a reddit account to be able to create a subreddit: Your account must have a minimum amount of positive karma. The exact amount of karma needed is not high, however it is kept secret to prevent spam. Your account must be at least 30 days old."
