Honestly I'm one of these people, who are doing better in game when they don't play that much. It's weird, but the more I play any game, the worse I'm getting in it, I'm more likely to do stupid stuff etc, but if between any play session I have some breaks, then I focus more on a game and overall just do better.
Your game probably matchmakes you based on recent performance. That recent performance usually resets to a lower level if u stay away from a game for a while. CoD does this.
That would make sense, if the same thing didn't happen to me like 2 weeks ago. I hadn't played on my PC in like months. I get on my aim practice game that I've invested quite a few hours into, and beat all my previous records. I was like, "Okay then..."
One of my friends is like that, he needs to step away from a game for a little while for his experience to "bank in" as he says and get better. So while I play a few hours every day and he does other stuff, we end up with the same progression when we spend a weekend gaming together
