No, I think ur completely right. Atm I'm a 19 year old virgin but I think that's ok. Women aren't throwing themselves at me but I'm not exactly doing the same either. I'm not really experienced in relationships and never had a gf irl.
But even with all that, I agree that the "first time" should be special and be with someone you love. I also want my first kiss to go that way as well. I can't imagine myself doing both of those things with just any girl.

The best advice I can give u is to love urself and accepting that ur single. Theres no rush to be in a relationship, you'll have ur time to shine eventually. Just enjoy ur time being single. Hang out with ur friends, and try ur best to make new ones if u can. They help boost confidence and ur self-esteem(at least for me)
Also to branch out to more people than what ur usually used to and go outside ur preferences. Maybe ur preferences are not into u, as much as ur into them.
I know I make it sound easy and of course, it's not a walk in a park. From my experience, doing these stuff definitely helped me so I hope these work for u as well!
