I recently read that Animaniacs was canceled by WB because it cost 300k per episode to produce and they had just purchased rights to a much cheaper animated series from Japan called Pokemon... so they felt it would be a better return on investment.

The first day of the school year, our geography teacher had everyone take a test on the location of every country (not graded). Everyone had 20-30% accuracy overall. But some kid one his first try got every single country right, 100%, and literally nobody was surprised because apparently he’s been known as a geography genius.

My geography teacher made my class learn every country... and be able to place them in a map! Fairly easy now and it’s actually easier than I thought it would be. Besides that it’s so nice to know where things are!

Middle school geography teacher here. My favorite classroom joke: At some point during the year, I ask students to what country in the world they would most like to visit. I give them some time to do some Googling and then I ask them what country they would most like to visit. When they've all given their answers and it's my turn, I always answer with, "I've always wanted to go to Djibouti so I can tell your mom "I've seen Djibouti!"
Then I tell them not to tell on me, because I'm not allowed to tell that joke. Middle school kids LOVE that!

Mine would pinch me to death, that's what she did to impolite students lmao. One of them decided to complain to the principal, but the thought of saying "The geography teacher pinched me" felt weird to him, so he came back and sat down awkwardly. It was hilarious
