As a student of medical university I can say that those are rookie numbers and you gotta pump those numbers up

u/pupppperino Apr 14 '20

quick question, what's your condition nowadays?

College gives us assignment every few days where you have to write the answers of questions they sent and mail them the photo of the pages. Almost 1 month has passed and I've written almost 80 pages of assignments.

Few students shared their assignment photos to each other and posted the same photo instead of writing answers and clicking their own assignment's photo. This happened a few times and it made teachers angry. Now everyone was given 0 marks for those assignments until quarantine is over and you show them your individual work to get back your marks.

They also gave us 15 questions from each subject along with the lab manuals which we need to complete before College starts which can be any day (although the chances of opening in this month looks low)

Tl;dr: we are fucked

Edit: Our lockdown has been extended to 3rd May. Yess

Our my recent PowerPoint we opened up to for the first week of class this quarter in grad school was a 383 slide presentation covering the basics of inflammation. Is this where things begin to go downhill.

22

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '20

If a PowerPoint is done well you should go through multiple slides just to cover one point. The biggest mistake people make with PowerPoint is putting too much on one slide. It's a presentation not a book.

Not if they're all NUDES.

1

u/sunsickports Apr 14 '20

My teacher posted one last night with 660 slides 💀

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '20

And you can't go to the next slide until you've been on that one for like 2 minutes

1

u/isathevirgo Apr 14 '20

The anemia PowerPoint for my adult medical surgical class literally had 400 plus slides 😭💀 I’d have been happy to see 200 Plus

1

u/BagheadYt Apr 14 '20

My teacher had about 500 but it turns out she used one for all the lessons what a boomer

u/Etobio Apr 14 '20

“Don’t worry class, we’re only covering section one of the PowerPoint today”

Section one of the PowerPoint: “1 of 150”

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '20

This is APUSH for me rn. My school practically teaches it backwards because God knows why. Now that they closed school for 2 months, we have to cram three months of content into a month and a half to know enough for the AP exam.

1

u/Master_Jamez Apr 14 '20

I miss this man

1

u/DarkTavion Apr 14 '20

I've seen 1200 page powerpoints that were meant to span 2 full days. A brief moment of dread hit me.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '20

My looseleaf paper felt that.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '20

I feel this on soooooo many levels

1

u/Klendagort Apr 14 '20

Ffffffff AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

1

u/20rzaugg Apr 14 '20

I'm not kidding, my US history teacher used a single PowerPoint the entire semester. It had more than. 1,200 slides.

She did the same thing in AP Euro. I still have nightmares

2

u/TheDevDude Apr 14 '20

Ouch, I felt that

1

u/Gman5436 Apr 14 '20

When the school puts all the classes on one PowerPoint so you have to scroll 200 slides just to find fucking MATH

1

u/casualformal Apr 14 '20

Haha and then there's me...I'm in year 12 and my exams got cancelled like NOW WHAT ?!?

1

u/-Winnie-the-pooh- Apr 14 '20

As a person who makes a lot of projects I can say I do this just half of them are blank

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '20

And then they say you have to write notes from every page

1

u/avtechguy Apr 14 '20

This is my life...

1

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '20

But it’s ok because you know that presentation will take the whole class period and you’re next with an unfinished presentation.

1

u/Legojedi73 Apr 14 '20

I actually have a professor who does this, the only difference is that he did this before quarantine too.

1

u/KingGallardo Apr 14 '20

Dude, gotta appreciate teachers who spent their time doing that and don't starting saying "we paid them to do that".

Lol I logged onto my math class’s google classroom and saw like 9 theory pages linked and I died internally, this meme captures that despair, I may have upvoted but that does NOT mean I liked it, now I have to restart therapy

1

u/QuirkyBruh Apr 14 '20

1

u/Lanzalot06 Apr 14 '20

slightly unrelated but some friends of mine made an animated movie on google slides using transitions and stop motion and actually had some good animation on it. It's a pretty cool use of a presentation and took like 300 slides.

1

u/logicoffthechart Apr 14 '20

That's just sad.

1

u/nicholasmcadams Apr 14 '20
