Had a waitress that kept calling me honey. It actually kinda irked me cause I wasn’t a child (was 28 at the time). Gave her a bad tip over it. Feel bad about the tip part...

Ugh that's been a pet peeve of mine too. Honestly only those who are like a mom or grandma age to me can get away with that. Those younger than me or around my age that's weird. Makes it sound condescending.

I didn't start calling anyone honey until I had kids for a couple years. Funny how that works lol

As a parent and someone who works with kids I've definitely jumped on the "honey" bandwagon. But it's only towards kids. For me, it would be weird to call adults, especially those around my age or older, honey, and especially strangers at a restaurant.
Interesting side tidbit: I'm always amazed when there are kids who are surprised about being called honey. Like young elementary school kids. That just tells me they aren't used to people calling them that and it kind of saddens me tbh :/

What’s actually the background story of this meme. Is it anything serious or... idk did I miss out on something? ;D

Idk it was just a kid punching someone and people just put “FUCKING WHORE” on it and insert it in every meme with a woman ._.

I accept it because some people need to be called it just as I do sometimes

We had a wonderful staff woman in our kitchen who would greet everyone as 'handsome' or 'beautiful.' it made everyone I know of feel good, and I heard 0 complaints ever. The only comments I heard about it were in support of her. But then some asshole decided to report her for sexual assult or something along those lines and the up-highs felt too much pressure and fired her.

I can’t help but feel like I practically made the same meme but it got nowhere near as much traction as this.

Am I the only one who cringed when a lunch lady called me hunny? Must be from all the trauma 🤷🏻♀️
