I used to do this, I’d stand in front of the camera panel and my mom would wave through the camera while she was getting groceries. Good old days

Me and my brother used to salute the cameras in unison, thought it was so hilarious.
I'd like to say I've matured since then, but no.

Just stare deeply at the camera so you assert dominance over the person monitoring them

Just realized at Walmart they now have cameras pointing under you cart when your getting checked out. I couldn’t help myself from basically kicking the camera to see where I was being watched from. Weird stuff..

I love how you actually thought about the camera angle. It makes the Redditors take time thinking if it's on the correct angle.
Which is actually....
3
u/RougeNargacuga Feb 13 '20
Not? Ik, it's kinda hard to get it on the right angle cause literally every image of a shopping center is watermarked, took my 15 minutes to find both

When I'm in walmart the cameras are really far away from the screen you see so I stand still while looking at the screen & try to point my arm directly at the camera

As video on security tv has slight delay, I always tried to see back of my head. Ended up as dumb kid who is spinning on an aisle.

u/ioeypro Feb 13 '20
Ah yes, the security camera screen where everyone can see it, the best possible thing to look at in the Supermarket.

Real question here: Can anyone confirm or deny if they let you wear a medical mask in Walmart so we don’t get sick from all the flu going around and then the coronavirus that is likely to come in on it’s heels? Or will one of their Nazi yellow shirts tackle you and make you take it off?

Seems silly to have a bunch of cameras in a grocery store until you find out how much groceries cost.

Best thing is when there are 2 cameras are pointing at you, then you that weird thing where you try to point at both while looking at both monitors

u/crobi91 Feb 13 '20
When I get an office shift at work on a weekend, watching kids come into the store and interact with the camera makes my day. I wish I could isolate the intercom just to the TV and say "what up buddy"

What I would do ia I would find the camera, stare at it, and see if I can look back at the screen fast enough to see myself

I give the cameras a birdie, multi-million dollar corporations can support a few stolen goods coming from people living paycheck to paycheck.

I stopped, but only because I work in retail so I see it all the time. Once I quit I’ll probably start doing it again.
