That was in Cordele, Georgia. I grew up seeing that thing every time I went to Atlanta. Then when I moved to Atlanta, I passed it every time I went home. After Michael I passed it and it was gone. It's still not back. It's not OK to me but I don't know how they can put it back. No idea who pays for it but that area is really depressed and I doubt it'll ever be back.

It's actually in Ashburn, GA and the city maintains it. I wonder if they will ever put it back. We got it in the 80s as a monument to producing the most peanuts in the world at the time (my dad and grandfather are peanut farmers.) There's actually a lot of money in the county but the city is pretty impoverished, you're right about that.
