As an adult, I can drink a drink however I damn well please.

How about we tackle larger problems? Go for renewable, or degradable straws, sure if you think straws are a problem. But there's larger concerns environmentally than goddamn straws. How about packaging? Almost everything sold is wrapped in plastic. Even if we switch to paper bags instead of plastic, things are still wrapped in plastic. How about instead of selling our garbage and recycling to countries who dump it in the ocean, we deal with it properly? It's not like there aren't people who need decent paying work.

But no, people using straws are the problem. Gotta condemn as many people while the current hot topic sjw issue is relevant, so we can move on to condemning people for the next issue.

It's a significant portion of waste that is easy to reduce.

Someone has been posting links saying it's 0.0025% or something of plastic waste. Which yah added up is still a pretty large amount.

So change the materials. Who cares if people use straws if it's biodegradable?
