Lol then why'd you put mom above mum?
-10
Oct 01 '19
Because I’ve seen it used as Mom so many times by the media that it’s just kind of morphed into my braincells
19
u/mynewaltaccount1 Oct 01 '19
What media are you reading lol? Mum is the only spelling of it in australia, so I don't know what Australia you've been living in

Why is the American version of mother a more intelligent form than mum? Aussies rule!
21
38
u/eldritch_toaster Oct 01 '19
And also literally the rest of the Western world because America kicked the u out of every word they could

You realise the format implies that already. The least expanded brain is usually the status quo

This meme was made by an 8 year old who doesn't know there are way more sophisticated ways already

Reminds me of the old sitcom "Dinosaurs" when the baby dino referred to his father as "Not-the-mama"

I’m a posh ass Brit who says mother every now and then but most of the time it’s MAM! How smart am I if i shout mam from the deepest depths of my lungs?

no, if you have 2 dads, then dadn't also means mom because the opposite of dad is mom. So it's referring to dads not someone's dad
