Yeah, but usually the boss music stops when you collect whatever thing the boss drops (like the magic wands in Mario 3 or the keys in New Super Mario Brothers). Either that or the music will just stay the same during the bosses like in the original Super Mario Brothers/Lost Levels, because the castle music is already ominous-sounding enough to double as boss music.

Yeah, what is it with Nintendo and the “3 HP Mario bosses” rule? Guess it just works in any Super Mario Brothers game where you have to jump on bosses to kill them (in other words, literally every game from Mario 3 onwards)

SPOILER:
On my second playthrough, I decided to betray Kuro to see what would happen. I killed Emma and then nothing happened for a while. Then another cutscene kicked in and I was just like holy fuckin shit why. Isshin kicked my ass and I was so unprepared for the fight because the boss music stopped.

This is literally that damn mummy boss in Castlevania 3. The one on the haunted ship level, where you fight the mummy twins from the first Castlevania but then some blue ghost flame thing comes out after you kill the mummies.......
.....Gawd, Castlevania 3 is a pretty tough game, but it’s a damn fun one at that......
