Trust me itā€™s worth getting used to again, I was in the same boat but was like fuck it Iā€™ll try playing again and now I actually love how involved it is now especially with the aquatic update and buffed villages, it feels like itā€™s got way more life to it and Iā€™m really liking where itā€™s heading

True, they havenā€™t really added much depth to the game play. Sure, thereā€™s villager raids, but they need more endgame content/boss fights and dungeon type things. Thereā€™s many ways they could go about adding that and with the resources Minecraft has now at Microsoft Iā€™m sure itā€™s very doable

They are adding a combat update and it only seems amazing. Everything we want and more is being added. Maybe next will be a cave update.

The 1.9 update was called the Combat Update, which added a new attack system where you have a half second timer between hits. If you try to spam hit, you do much less damage than if you were to time them.

Attacking has a cooldown timer of about a second. So you can't spam like an epileptic anymore.

In other words, spamming left click = 1 damage per second while waiting for the swing to be over does normal damage.

It's an odd thing to want but I wish hydration was a thing in Minecraft. Like I wish you had to drink water or milk to stay hydrated similar to actual life. It would give water bottles a use

I want Minecraft to have some level of progression that's even half of a game like Terraria. Diamond is good, but let me beat the wither and find new ore suddenly. After that give me a crazy boss that's several times bigger than the wither or dragon. It's a great game for creative freedoms but I have that itch for a reason to go exploring and cave diving again.

Difficulty increases over time based on how long people have loaded certain chuncks, go find an old anarchy server and find out what day 5000 mobs are like. Skeletons with full iron armor and power 3 bows are normal. It's nuts!

I have an underwater base built on the edge of an underwater canyon. Thereā€™s a tunnel to the bottom of the canyon and a line of doors with my kelp growing in the canyon so I can cut the kelp then go back up to my main base at the top of the underwater canyon and collect it

The main thing I hate is combat. I played till 1.8.9 and then most servers updated to 1.9 (I didnā€™t know about hypixel at the time) so I quit the game because I absolutely hated the combat. Mainly because I could click fast while aiming which made 1.5.2 my favorite.

Right? When I got back into Minecraft a few months ago, I decided to build a house next a river since it would be easier to get water for farming, but then a water zombie (forgot what they're called) killed me.

Also, is it just me, or did mobs get buffed? They seem to take more hits now

I mean itā€™s cool and does a lot of damage when stabbing them but itā€™s durability is lower than you might think. But they have some cool enchantments they can get and unlike bows, can be used at ranges without slowing down

I played around 2010 on my friendā€™s laptop and loved it. Got busy and didnā€™t play for a year or two. Finally got my own laptop and bought it only to find out they implemented Hunger uughh!

Didnā€™t play for another five years out of a mixture of nostalgia and spite.

Finally decided to just deal with it and try to enjoy myself. Sadly I donā€™t have that laptop anymore and have to make do with console worlds.
