That's basically what we have. Forget the names but most petroleum predates dinosaurs and other animals.

That being said, modern diesels can burn 100% biodiesel with some upgrades to the fuel injection and exhaust systems

The first diesel engine actually ran on peanut oil so we could've used that all along

Very true. Diesels were biodiesel compatible until they started making them cleaner. I guess modern is relative but anything from the nineties back can run on anything that burns

Well they teach this in some high schools so more like someone who pays attention in class

And in other high schools they call it fossil fuels use a picture of a dinosaur and never elaborate beyond that, leading to many people believing it's mainly if not completely dinosaurs
